How it works

From link to transcript in three steps

  1. 01

    Copy the TikTok video link

Open the TikTok in your browser or app, tap Share and choose Copy link. Short links (vm.tiktok.com) work as well as full ones.

  2. 02

Paste it into the box above

Drop the URL into the form and press Grab the Script. The platform is detected automatically from the link.

  3. 03

    Copy or download the transcript

Read the full text or switch to the timestamped view, then download TXT, SRT or VTT for editing and subtitles.

Why transcribe a TikTok instead of reading it?

A TikTok transcript is the full text of every word spoken in a video. TikTok has no caption track to copy from, so the only native way to get those words out is to watch and type them yourself — slow, error-prone and impossible to do reliably at speed.

A TikTok transcript generator turns any public video into text in seconds. That matters when you want to study the hook of a viral video, repurpose a creator's structure into your own script, quote a clip in an article, or turn spoken content into a searchable, skimmable format.

Built for creators who repurpose short-form video

Most creators work the same way: find a video that performed well, understand why, and rebuild it. The words are the part you can actually reuse. A clean transcript makes the comparison fast — you can line two scripts up side by side, spot the opening hook, and see how the call to action is worded.

The timestamped view helps when you are subtitling your own version: you keep the same pacing as the original without retyping timings by hand. Download SRT or VTT and drop it straight into CapCut, Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.

What you get for one credit

One TikTok video costs one credit — from about $0.01 — and a failed extraction never spends it: if a video is private, deleted or region-blocked, you get a clear error and the credit stays with you. Free accounts get 5 credits every week, and repeat grabs of the same video within 30 days cost nothing.

Private friends-only posts, age-gated content and music-only clips have no speech to transcribe, so they cannot be processed. Everything public comes back as both plain text and subtitle files — VTT is a W3C standard and SRT (SubRip) is the oldest widely supported subtitle format.

FAQ

TikTok Transcript Generator FAQ

How do I get a transcript from a TikTok video?

Copy the video link in the TikTok app (Share → Copy link), paste it into the box on this page and press Grab the Script. The transcript appears a few seconds later as copyable text, with TXT, SRT and VTT downloads underneath.

Can I extract a transcript from any TikTok video?

Any public video works, including short links like vm.tiktok.com. According to TikTok’s Help Center, private and friends-only posts are only visible to approved viewers — those, plus deleted, region-blocked and age-gated videos, cannot be fetched. You will see an explicit error rather than an empty result.

Does it work with TikTok videos that have music or no talking?

No. Music-only and silent footage contain no spoken words, so there is no script to extract. If you get a 'no speech found' message, pick a clip where someone is talking.

How much does a TikTok transcript cost?

One credit per video. Free accounts get 5 credits every week, and if the extraction fails no credit is spent. Subscription quota refreshes every week; unused credits do not roll over.

Can I use the transcript I extracted commercially?

Use it as reference material, and rewrite it into your own words before publishing. TikTok's Terms of Service keep the rights with the original creator, so do not pass someone else's script off as your own — the transcript is a research tool, not a licence.
